WIS MS students had an opportunity to explore and experiment and learn in Zhejiang University’s biotechnology laboratory. After a brief lesson on microbes, students metabolized yeast, a type of fungus, by creating the right environment to catalyze a reaction. They also tested for vitamin C in both lemon juice and peach juice. Finally they tested different types of milk for protein levels. It was a fun day working with research scientists in an incredible space!!
