Picking Tea with Grade 3

Grade 3 went on a field trip to Yunqi XiaoZhu on April 16 to to learn about Longjing tea. This was a learning opportunity beyond the classroom supporting the theme Tea Culture of WIS Chinese Cultural Curriculum. We went to the tea plantation and learned which leaves are the best for tea. We then saw the leaves being dried and roasted, then we got to taste some tea and have some snacks! We took home a bag of the tea we picked. It was a very fun afternoon.
