Building Bridges

Each group in our class is building a bridge out of tape, glue and popsicle sticks. When we finished, we tested which bridge was the strongest. The strongest was made by Scott, Lucia, Nicole and Leo, whose bridge could hold eight reams of paper without them falling off, or the bridge breaking! We also discussed as a class what made the bridges strong: making sure they were wide enough and that no popsicle stick had to bear the weight by themselves.
