Kite Flying Competition

Grades 3, 4 and 5 will take to the skies this coming fall when they return to school to complete their kites. They created a kite design with specific measurements then measured the rice paper and redrew their design so it was symmetrical. After sketching on the rice paper, they then decorated their kite in the design of choice. After that, they will construct the bamboo supports and build the frame for their kites in the fall. Upon completion, they will go outside and determine which kite is able to stay up the longest, and which kite was able to fly the highest.
