On December 15, 2023, Hangzhou Wahaha Schools welcomed the 10th Winter Show, themed “Tomorrowland”. Through artistic performances and immersive theater, it presented a creative, fantastical, and vibrant audiovisual feast.

To empower our students to freely envision the future, this edition of the Winter Show encouraged exploration right from its creative inception. Through curious eyes and continuous brainstorming, and collaborative teamwork, the students collectively envisioned what the future might hold.Teachers and students breathed life onto the stage, transcending the confines of time and space. Together, they embarked on a journey, pondering our future, imagining the unknown universe…
The Grade 1 students explored the future Earth. They journeyed to enchanting underwater cities and ventured into untamed jungles, experiencing an exhilarating adventure.
The Grade 4 students answered a plea for help from Beta, a planet facing depletions of its resources. They transformed into Zetonians, using their innovative inventions to save the planet, restoring the starry brilliance to the sky once more.
The Grade 3 students, brimming with curiousity and knowledge, embarked on a space journey. They ventured to the moon and deep into galaxies, discovering wonders existing beyond our planet.
The Grade 2 students beautifully narrated a cosmic journey about an mysterious Tree of Life in the vast, boundless universe. Each leaf of this tree holds a magical story, making it an enchanting space odyssey.
The Grade 5 students set their sights on another parallel universe, and they were thinking: if we were in a world where science and technology had reached its peak, what would our future cities and lives look like?
Welcome to our WM60 planet
The Winter Showcase of this year isn’t just a creative spectacle for MYP; it’s a remarkable amalgamation of interdisciplinary efforts from different grade levels. Let’s explore the outstanding achievements of MYP students from Grades 6 to 9 in areas such as art, science, I&S, Chinese, English, and Mathematics.
G6 exhibition presents the crystallization of wisdom in art, science, and PSE. Students not only incorporate classroom learning into their presentations but also integrate the survival training experiences on WM60 planet. They uniquely showcase the fusion of disciplinary knowledge and practical skills, demonstrating a profound understanding of this interdisciplinary unit.
G7 exhibition seamlessly combines PSE, Chinese, English, and mathematics. Through four different group activities, students guide the audience through thrilling journeys of escaping disasters like sandstorms. This process not only tests their subject knowledge but also hones their teamwork and problem-solving skills.
G8 activities focus on showcasing achievements in English, science, and mathematics. Students have created a future community on WM60 planet, presenting a vibrant green community. Through this exhibition, the audience will gain in-depth insights into our unique educational paradise and experience how disciplinary knowledge is applied in practice.
G9 interdisciplinary exhibition combines music, design, and English, among other fields.
Visitors engaged in trade activities with representatives from WM60 planet, experiencing jobs on the future planet through the exchange of cosmic resources. This activity not only tests students’ creative abilities and comprehensive literacy but also offers the audience a unique and engaging experience.
Each grade’s interdisciplinary unit has undergone a long process of inquiry and learning.
In today’s Winter Showcase, students cleverly combine disciplinary knowledge with ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills. Through innovative, fun, and highly interactive activities, they achieve better communication with the audience.
This showcase is not just a demonstration of their academic prowess but also a vivid testament to their holistic development.
