8th grade Science students studying the cardiovascular system tested their own heart rate during various levels of activity. They then calculated their heart rate maximum to compare to their resting heart rate and recommended HR max for a general idea of their cardiovascular health. Even more fascinating, a sheep’s heart was dissected and analyzed for structure and function!!
