After the October break, we started a new unit of inquiry. This unit is about discoveries and inventions and one of the skills we are focussing on is researching. The students were first provoked with some new technology and they started wondering about how it was made. We moved on to some provoking teacher questions and soon after students started asking questions themselves. This led to students inquiring to find answers to their questions and presenting their findings to the rest of the class. In this process, we learned that we should not just copy other people’s work, use words we can understand ourselves and that taking notes is very important.
