Iconic and recognizable, the Great Wall of China and Great Pyramid of Giza are easily identifiable. But MS 6 and 7th graders took a much closer look at each of these ancient architectural wonders by approaching them with key questions: Who built them? What was their purpose? How were they made? What were they made of? Mythology of both were also explored. In the case of the Great Wall students read about Meng Jiang Nu weeping over the wall and in terms of the pyramids students debunked myths about who actually built them by studying the bones and houses of the workers.
