In February, 2A students began working on an animal shelter project as a part of their How the World Works unit. They worked in small groups to build a shelter for animals that live in one of the following habitats: Arctic, Desert, Forest, Mountain, Ocean, and Rainforest. They were challenged to think critically about how each material they chose would work within their assigned habitat. 2A students presented their work at a showcase held on March 7, which parents, teachers and other classes attended.
