Having a hobby has a plethora of benefits, both psychological and physical. Children can also learn how to concentrate and focus while performing an activity, how to complete tasks, make decisions, solve problems, discover themselves, develop creativity, develop gross and fine motor skills. These are among some of the reasons why we celebrated ‘Hobby Day’.
We learned to appreciate everyone’s passions and personality and the most interesting of all, we discovered more about our friends!! Each student dressed-up in attires that expressed their hobbies and we had a fun-time guessing what the different hobbies were. We also got into a long discussion as they shared with joy their passions in English. Finally, we watched them perform. We were amazed to learn that Enzo is actually the captain of an Ice Hockey Team in Hangzhou! Who knows, their hobbies may become their careers later on in life!
